Specialist therapy for anxiety, OCD, and misophonia

Dr Tom Graham

I am an HCPC registered and BABCP Accredited Counselling Psychologist specialising in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for adults. My work in specialist NHS services has led to expertise in treating anxiety related problems, and I have helped many people overcome their struggles with OCD, health anxiety, emetophobia, BDD, panic, social anxiety, specific phobias, and PTSD. For many years I have also worked in researching and treating misophonia, and I am among a small number of clinical experts in this area.

Having worked at the Centre for Anxiety Disorders and Trauma, my current NHS commitments are at Oxford Health Specialist Psychological Intervention Centre. Outside of this, I offer private appointments via video call using Microsoft Teams. In person appointments may be possible in St Albans. Feel free to get in touch to arrange a free 15-minute call to discuss your difficulties and see whether I can help. I’m always happy to be contacted and to answer any questions, so don’t hesitate to reach out.

Thank you - your sessions quite literally transformed my life! I'd lived with my disorder for so long that I was unable to imagine a world without it, and I was a little sceptical before I started my sessions with you. You provided me with a supportive, empathetic, non-judgemental space to discuss things, and your understanding of my disorder and thought patterns often caught me off guard - you really seemed to understand me better than I did. I have recommended your sessions to several friends, and would very much encourage anyone thinking about starting therapy with you to give it a go. Diving in is the hard part - you were there to make sure I reached the other side safely!

Tom is a fantastic therapist and I can’t recommend him enough. Insightful, compassionate, nonjudgmental, and supportive, working with him has made me a happier, more content person. He has helped me to navigate and heal my OCD and recover on past traumas. Most importantly, he has helped me practice self-compassion, which has made an overwhelming difference to my life.
